「影が落ちる」という訳もあるし、
「幻影があらわれる」という訳もある。
影にしろ幻影にしろ、実体ではなく、
shadowを再生音として捉えるのならば、
このT.S.エリオットの“The Hollow Men”（うつろな人びと）は、
再生音がどこにあらわれるのか、
だからこそ再生音とは……、について示唆にとむ。
